Our firm counts among its clients many of most successful Swiss and global entrepreneurs in industry and finance as well as countless Forbes billionaires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position:<\/strong> Partner &amp; Head of Fintech<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Zurich<br \/>\n<strong>Workload:<\/strong> 100% full-time<\/p>\n<h2>Job objective<\/h2>\n<p>Partner &amp; Head of Fintech is responsible for building and leading the firm\u2019s fintech legal practice, advising clients on the full spectrum of legal, regulatory, and transactional matters related to financial innovation.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic legal guidance on the regulation of the fintech sector, including compliance with Swiss and international financial market laws<\/li>\n<li>Support clients in securing regulatory approvals and licenses from FINMA and other global authorities such as CSSF, MFSA, FMA, CIMA, and BaFin<\/li>\n<li>Counsel on payment transactions law, including PSD2 compliance, e-money regulations, and digital payment infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Advise on crowdfunding and crowd investing models, tokenization of financial instruments, and investor protection rules<\/li>\n<li>Ensure client compliance with AML\/KYC frameworks and assist in building robust governance structures and internal controls<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert legal support on blockchain technology, crypto assets, token offerings, and DeFi models, including regulatory classification and licensing<\/li>\n<li>Advise on data protection and data security, including GDPR, revised FADP, and sector-specific cybersecurity requirements<\/li>\n<li>Draft, review, and negotiate fintech-sector contracts, including partnership and joint venture agreements, technology and license agreements, investment and financing agreements<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate and expand long-term client relationships through high-quality service and proactive engagement<\/li>\n<li>Develop business development strategies, contribute to thought leadership (e.g. articles, webinars, events), and represent the firm at industry conferences<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and associates, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, billing targets, and operational goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<h4>Education<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Swiss bar admission and first-class qualification<\/li>\n<li>Excellent academic credentials in law (Master\u2019s degree \/ PhD)<\/li>\n<li>Additional studies in business law or financial law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Professional experience<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>10 + years of proven work experience as a lawyer, preferably in a Partner role in a law firm, auditing firm, or senior level in-house legal department of bank or asset management companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Languages<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Stylistically confident, appropriate English and German<\/li>\n<li>Additional languages (e.g. French, Italian) are an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Cognitive and analytical skills<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mentality<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity, professional credibility, and discretion<\/li>\n<li>Results-oriented, proactive, and resilient under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Charismatic and confident, with the ability to represent the firm at conferences and industry forums<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative team player with an inclusive leadership style<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Leadership skills<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Established client network and ability to attract new mandates (existing book of business is a strong plus)<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to build and grow<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of legal professionals<\/li>\n<li>Experience in internal knowledge sharing, thought leadership, and promoting best practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What we offer\u00a0to Partners<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Entrepreneurial approach:<\/strong> Build and lead your practice \u2014 with full strategic autonomy.
