Partner Announcement: Michael Betschart, Esq., LL.M., Notary Public joins LINDEMANNLAW

LINDEMANNLAW is pleased to announce that Michael Betschart, Esq., LL.M., Notary Public, will join our firm as a partner as of September 1, 2023. As an attorney, he will advise in the areas of business and corporate law, capital markets and stock exchange law, as well as real estate law. As notary public of the Canton of Schwyz, he will also take over the notarization of corporate and civil law transactions.

Prior to joining LINDEMANNLAW, Michael worked in the legal department of Ernst & Young AG and then in various professional and service positions at Swisscom AG, a listed company. Most recently, he headed the Board Office with the secretariat of the Board of Directors. Five years ago, he joined SIX Exchange Regulation AG, where he headed the Corporate Disclosure department. With a team of technical specialists, he was responsible for monitoring compliance and enforcement of regulations and transparency obligations in the areas of ad hoc publicity, management transactions, corporate governance and rule reporting obligations for companies listed on the Swiss Exchange. Michael holds a licentiate in law (lic.iur.) from the University of Fribourg and a Master of Law in Business Law (LL.M.) from the University of Glasgow. He is registered in the Bar Register of the Canton of Zurich and in the Register of Notaries of the Canton of Schwyz.
