Emanuel has a strong track record as business lawyer and litigator. He advises domestic and foreign clients in all matters relating to contract and corporate law. Emanuel is admitted to all courts in Switzerland and represents his clients in commercial disputes and administrative proceedings. Further, he is an experienced coordinator of complex cross border litigations. Emanuel supports his clients in domestic and international M&A transactions. His profound and practical expertise in employment and (corporate) sales law, combined with entrepreneurial experience, creates added value for our clients.
Emanuel completed his law degree at the University of Bern. He then started his professional career at a large Swiss bank, where he gained first transactional experience (M&A advisory). After his doctorate (Dr. iur.) at the Civil Law Department of the University of Bern (Chair of Prof. Dr. Thomas Koller), he worked as a trainee lawyer for a well-known business law firm in Zurich. He supported the transaction practice group on Due Diligences and gained profound experience in employment law. After being admitted to the Zurich bar, he became a member of the executive board of a listed company (SIX). As General Counsel and Head of Human Resources (CHRO), he was responsible for all legal and HR matters of the group. Emanuel holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and founded his own law firm (shareholder company). He offers more than 10 years of practical experience as an independent lawyer, entrepreneur, and partner in a commercial law firm.
Emanuel is married and father of two children. He is involved in various social initiatives, member of the board of multiple non-profit associations, and a member of the Zurich City Parliament.
