Dr. Alexander Lindemann is partner at LINDEMANNLAW. As a lawyer and tax adviser he advises investment funds, asset managers, private clients, investors and banks in legal, regulatory and tax matters. He advises in the structuring of Investment Funds, Securitisations, Holdings, Foundations, Trusts, in among others Switzerland, Luxembourg, Malta, Liechtenstein and Cayman Islands. He is a frequent speaker and publisher on capital market and tax issues. He is President of SWISS CAPITALMARKETFORUM (www.capitalmarketforum.swiss).
Having grown up in Munich, Alexander studied at University of Bayreuth, Julius-Maximilian University Würzburg and Washington & Lee University School of Law in Virginia /USA. He has worked in leading positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Credit Suisse & Clifford Chance before founding LINDEMANNLAW. Alexander is board member of a Listed Alternative Fund as well as a Real Estate Fund, and has served for many years on the board of a pension fund. He has three children.

Alexander was elected by Who’s Who Legal as leading lawyer in Investment Management / Private Funds in Switzerland 2019 and 2020. Additionally, he was recognised as a Client Choice winner in 2020 for Investment Management. Corporate INTL rewarded Alexander with two Corporate INTL’s Global Awards 2023 as Investment Management Advisor of the Year in Switzerland and as Tax Advisor of the Year in Switzerland. Furthermore, Alexander received The Global Advisory Experts Awards of 2023 as Tax Advisor of the Year in Switzerland and Investment Management Advisor of the Year in Switzerland.
As a firm LINDEMANNLAW was awarded the IFC Award with Bronze in 2021 and Gold in 2022 and 2023 in the category Boutique Law Firm of the Year. LINDEMANNLAW was also recognised by Global 100 as the Investment Management Advisor of the Year 2023 – Switzerland. Additionally, LINDEMANNLAW won the Corporate Live Wire’s Innovation and Excellence Award for 2023.
