LINDEMANNLAW, together with Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), FinanceMalta, BOV Fund Services, the and Zarattini International, are delighted to invite you to the Swiss-Malta Alternative Investment Forum, a joint web workshop on the new regulations and structuring solutions for alternative investment funds, family offices, and HNWIs.
After a successful web workshop last year, we are returning to the Swiss-Malta connection with a sharper focus on what has changed. The program covers regulatory innovation for alternative investment funds, the strategies that Maltese structures can accommodate, from private equity and hedge funds to private debt, real estate and crypto, the choice between notified and licensed vehicles, self-management and AIFMD compliance, and the legal, administration and depositary perspectives that turn a structure into a working fund.

About the participating organisations
LINDEMANNLAW AG is a Zurich-based law firm advising entrepreneurs, wealthy families, asset managers and institutional investors on law, tax and structuring. The firm is known for the design of fund and securitisation vehicles across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta and the Cayman Islands, and for the tax structuring of private funds and alternative investments. LINDEMANNLAW is ranked by The Legal 500 and hosts the Swiss Capital Market Forum with its annual Alternative Investments Forum.
FinanceMalta is the public-private partnership set up in 2007 to promote Malta as an international financial centre. It brings together government and industry across banking, insurance, funds and asset management, fintech and wealth management, and represents Malta in the World Alliance of International Financial Centers and the EU Roundtable of Financial Centres. For fund promoters, FinanceMalta is the first point of contact for understanding what the jurisdiction offers.
Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) is the single regulator for financial services in Malta, supervising banking, insurance, investment services and collective investment schemes, securities markets, pensions and, since 2018, virtual financial assets. The MFSA is widely recognised for its openness to regulatory innovation, from the Notified AIF and Notified PIF regimes to its FinTech Regulatory Sandbox and its early framework for crypto assets. Its participation gives attendees the new rules first hand.
BOV Fund Services is Malta’s pioneer fund administrator and a fully owned subsidiary of Bank of Valletta plc, the largest banking group in the Maltese Islands. Established in 1995, it administers more than EUR 3 billion in assets for clients across over ten jurisdictions and offers fund set-up and licensing support, valuation, accounting, shareholder registry, regulatory reporting and corporate services. Few organisations have seen more Maltese PIFs and NAIFs from the inside.
Zarattini International Ltd is the Malta-based, MFSA-regulated depositary arm of the Zarattini Group, the Swiss boutique banking group founded in 1985 and headquartered in Lugano, with a further branch in Luxembourg. A pioneer of depositary services in Malta since 2015, it provides depositary and custody solutions to UCITS and AIFs across private equity, real estate, loan funds and other alternative asset classes. It is the practical embodiment of the Swiss-Malta connection this Forum is about.
